right. so it's been a week.

in response to farah's qn of "how is school??" (as seen on your right), i shall imitate the style of her most recent entry where she recorded the "highlights" of school...

1) lectures lectures lectures. generally alright. EL and SS, in particular, were hilarious.

2) textbooks, reading packets etc. headaches over which to buy second-hand, which to phot-----, which to get free from generous seniors.......

3) got the nus organizer. it's got quotes, including some from calvin & hobbes that i thought i must share here!

"People think it must be fun to be a super genius, but they don't realize how hard it is to put up with all the idiots in the world."

"Sometimes i think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us."

"-You can't just turn on creativity like a faucet. You have to be in the right mood.
- What mood is that?
- Last-minute panic"

(the last one reminded me of gor instantly)

4) navigators welcome tea with jehanne and vcf welcome tea with ellen. co welcome tea with jf tmr...

5) decided that i seriously need a hostel.

despite being the homely individual that i am, numerous days of commuting back and forth has caused me to come to the conclusion that staying in a hall will not only do wonders for my wallet but also overall well-being. taking into consideration draining lectures and possible late cca sessions, a tedious commute home will just exacerbate the reluctance for studying.

walking to hougang interchange (mostly under a blazing sun) to take 151 alllll the way to kent ridge is no joke (although i get a seat the entire busride). an alternative: the train route, but that involves multiple transfers and is no fun either.

6) saw LOTS of familiar faces in campus

7) explored several food outlets and in particular, discovered the glorious megabytes cafe at sci fac (introduced by ellen haha).

8) german!! intriguing but DAMN DIFFICULT. i dont rmb being this intimidated when i first learnt jap in sec 1...

okay. that was long.

the ghosts of the pasts, back to haunt me
